Masks are still required to be worn inside the library at all times and physical distancing of 1m is encouraged. Write Your Story - A series of 5-weekly community workshops commence on Friday 13th May, 9.30-12noon – first session will be held in the meeting room at Paraparaum­u Library. Be inspired! Join our group and get started on your writing project. Capture your memories or family history in a supportive, fun environmen­t. All you need is an open mind, a pen, and a notebook. Waikanae Arts and Crafts Society - Exciting news! The Waikanae Arts and Crafts Society is introducin­g a series of workshops for its members, the first of which is a Mono Print/ Collage Class with Nicki Young. These will be held at the Society rooms, 29a Elizabeth St, over two Sundays, 1st and 8th May 2022. Cost, including materials, is $25 for members, $30 for non members. Cancer Society Centre Kāpiti - We are still open and would love to see you. Proof of vaccinatio­n will be required. We will also support unvaccinat­ed whānau through phone or via an outside visit. Community Meal – 11.30am-12.30pm at Coast Community Church, 57 Hinemoa Street Paraparaum­u, every first and third Saturday of the month. All welcome and a 3-course meal provided. Vaccine passes are required for eating in, takeaways are available with no vaccine pass. You can bring a koha if you wish, but not necessary.

Unearth Your Local Potter - are exhibiting at Summerston­e Gallery throughout the month of April. The group has been producing a collection of ceramic works from electric, gas, wood and soda firings.
