Help with rates

Council recognises that any rates increase has an impact, particularly for those in our community on low incomes. If you need help paying your rates, please give us a call on 0800 486 486 or visit one of our service centres.

Council rates remissions

If you have difficulties paying your rates, Council may be able to help. This includes help for temporary hardship as a result of repair of water leaks, a serious health issue or essential housing maintenance and other circumstances.

Government rates rebates

Council helps residents access Government rates rebates. If you’re a low-income homeowner or retirement village resident who holds a licence to occupy agreement, you may be eligible for a Government rates rebate.
