RSA says thanks

-

Paraparaumu RSA thanks all those who supported this year’s Poppy Day which raised more than $12,800 to support veterans and dependents in need.

RSA president Philip Simpson says despite the effects of Covid – with people moving about more carefully – the response was “very generous” and all the funds raised will be used locally.

“It just goes to show what a caring community we live in and the RSA is grateful for that support when the going gets tougher.”

The total raised includes $2000 from the sale of large vinyl poppies manufactured by the Shed Project in Paraparaumu and sold nationwide Applications for support or advice can be made in confidence at the RSA office at Club Vista on Marine Parade or by calling 021 0896 9813.
