Kāpiti summer: feels like home

-

Summer is full swing, so there’s no better time to get out and enjoy everything Kāpiti has to offer! With 500 hectares of parks and sports grounds, and almost 80 kilometres of recreational walkways, cycleways, and horse-riding paths, there’s plenty for you to explore.

Whether you’re soaking up the sun at one of our spectacular beaches, taking the path less travelled along one of our walking tracks or hiking trails, or jumping into the pool at one of our summer events, remember to capture the moment so you can enter our summer photo competition. Share your selfies, portraits, or happy snaps with us by 5pm Wednesday 14 February for a chance to win some awesome prizes.

There are so many things that make Kāpiti a great place to live, play, and visit. All we ask is that you follow the rules and keep safe while you’re having fun. Remember to respect each other and our environment so we can all celebrate everything that makes Kāpiti feel like home this summer.

We want to hear what you love about Kāpiti and what you want to see in our future so we can land a vision for the future of Kāpiti together. As part of this, we’re setting up a ‘wishing tree’ in Coastlands Mall next week to hear your thoughts. Come along to share your wish for Kāpiti and let us know what matters most. We’ll also have a kids creativity competition and prize wheel with some awesome prizes up for grabs. Come and see us from 10am–4pm, Tuesday 23 to Friday 26 January or join the conversation online anytime at haveyoursay.kapiticoast.govt.nz.
