Programme gets pupils thinking

-

Recently, I had the privilege of working alongside police and Katikati College to deliver the ‘Loves me not’ programme again.

It’s designed to educate Year 12 students about safe and healthy relationships.

The programme challenges the students’ views while educating them about what they can do if they see signs of an unhealthy relationship.

This programme plays a part in reducing family violence so it’s great to see that Katikati College are ‘Loves me not’ supporters!

At our last youth group event, we had Baillie Malbon from Syd Workshops teaching 27 youth how to make their own dreamcatchers.

Before it had even finished, the youth were already asking when Baillie would be back again.

We’ve been really impressed with the interest that our ‘girls nights’ and craft-based events have been getting. We’d love to do more workshops like this where the youth are able to enjoy great music, hot chocolates, a relaxed and bubbly atmosphere while bringing out their creative sides. This was all possible thanks to Syd Workshops.
