A Lotto player who bought their ticket at Video Ezy Katikati was one of 15 lucky play­ers who each won $17,532 in Lotto Sec­ond Divi­sion in last Satur­day’s live Lotto draw. Other Sec­ond Divi­sion win­ning tick­ets were sold in Auck­land, Gis­borne, Palmert­son North, Lower Hutt, Nel­son, Welling­ton, Ka­iapoi and Ti­maru. One lucky player who bought their ticket at Pak’nSave Rich­mond in Nel­son, also won Power­ball Sec­ond Divi­sion, tak­ing their to­tal win­nings to $34,038. Any­one who bought their ticket from Video Ezy Katikati should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it im­me­di­ately at any Lotto out­let, on­line at My­ or through the Lotto NZ App.

Biose­cu­rity Awards

The 2018 win­ners of the New Zealand Biose­cu­rity Awards were an­nounced on Mon­day. Among them were Te Ru¯ nanga o Nga¯ i Te Rangi Iwi Trust, win­ner of the NZ Biose­cu­rity Te Puni Ko¯ kiri Ma¯ ori Award and Ki­wifruit Vine Health, win­ner of the NZ Biose­cu­rity GIA In­dus­try Award. En­vi­ron­ment South­land’s Fiord­land Ma­rine Path­way Man­age­ment Plan took out the top prize, the New Zealand Biose­cu­rity Supreme Award. Their project also re­ceived the New Zealand Biose­cu­rity Ea­gle Tech­nol­ogy Lo­cal and Cen­tral Govern­ment Award.
