The fun of the fair
The Athenree Homestead Christmas Market and Fair is the place to be this Sunday after it was postponed due to wet weather last weekend. The event is all go for Sunday with around 35 quality stalls providing an array of ideas for Christmas gifts — jewellery, pottery, clothes, toys, etc. The Katikati Concert Band will be playing, with another entertainer on an accordion playing Christmas carols along with a facepainter for the children. The historic homestead will be open for visitors and the Railway Station tearooms will be open serving hot and cold food — sausage rolls, sandwiches, quiches and scones. It’s $4 gate entrance, and a visit to the homestead is free.
