FIRE REPORT

-

On Sunday around 1pm the Katikati Volunteer Fire Brigade was called to assist Omokoroa brigade at an accident where a car had crossed the road and hit a bank.

The car was extensively damaged but no injuries to people sustained. Both brigades carried out traffic control until the scene was made safe.

Last Friday around midday the brigade responded to an electrical fire at a residence house on Woodlands Rd. A toaster had caught fire and spread into the wall. The owner had managed to contain the fire until the brigade arrived.

The brigade was called to an alarm activation midmorning last Thursday on Tetley Rd. However, workmen using a water blaster had accidentally set the alarm off by getting water into the fire panel.

Then 20 minutes later they were again called to the same address after the alarm was reactivated. However, this time a contractor had dug up the cable. No action by the brigade.

In the evening of Tuesday, November 20 the brigade was called to assist Omokoroa at an alarm activation at Pahoia School. However no fire could be found. There was no action by the brigade.
