On Sun­day around 1pm the Katikati Vol­un­teer Fire Brigade was called to as­sist Omoko­roa brigade at an ac­ci­dent where a car had crossed the road and hit a bank.

The car was ex­ten­sively dam­aged but no in­juries to peo­ple sus­tained. Both bri­gades car­ried out traf­fic con­trol un­til the scene was made safe.

Last Fri­day around mid­day the brigade re­sponded to an elec­tri­cal fire at a res­i­dence house on Wood­lands Rd. A toaster had caught fire and spread into the wall. The owner had man­aged to con­tain the fire un­til the brigade ar­rived.

The brigade was called to an alarm ac­ti­va­tion mid­morn­ing last Thurs­day on Tet­ley Rd. How­ever, work­men us­ing a wa­ter blaster had ac­ci­den­tally set the alarm off by get­ting wa­ter into the fire panel.

Then 20 min­utes later they were again called to the same ad­dress af­ter the alarm was re­ac­ti­vated. How­ever, this time a con­trac­tor had dug up the cable. No ac­tion by the brigade.

In the evening of Tues­day, Novem­ber 20 the brigade was called to as­sist Omoko­roa at an alarm ac­ti­va­tion at Pa­hoia School. How­ever no fire could be found. There was no ac­tion by the brigade.
