Facelift for landmark Talisman

A new paint job is under way at the historic Talisman Hotel, which is being given a fresh, modern look.

The exterior is being painted and some new windows will be fitted.

Hotel owner Michele Reichmuth said the facelift on the Talisman building is in line with maintenance.

“We thought it an ideal time to bring her up with the times.

“It’s been amazing how many people have told us they hadn’t stopped in as to how she looked from the outside and then were so surprised once they stepped through the doors.

“We hope that the final colour scheme will be very accepted once completed.”

She said they have some new windows being installed this week as well to repair and replace the aluminium ones.

“We are excited to keep improving this beautiful building inside and out and keep providing awesome activities for our patrons and township.”

The aim is to maintain the Talisman as a fun, family restaurant and to be a top spot for music events as well.

Katikati’s landmark Talisman Hotel on the main road has been painted to give it a fresh new look.

The signs are up on the new Katikati Health By Nature store in Jocelyn Street.
