Two new shops for Katikati

Katch Katikati has finished its Business After five monthly networking meetings for this year and will start again in February.

Anyone interested in hosting an event, which is a cost-effective way to market their business, needs to contact Katikati town promotions manager, Jacqui Knight.

She said it’s very exciting for the town to have two new shops opening soon — the Health By Nature shop in Jocelyn Street and the laundromat — next to The Professionals real estate.

“It shows confidence in the local economy.”

Katch Katikati has started to lobby the Community Board and Western Bay of Plenty District Council to upgrade the footpaths and main retail area.

“We cannot keep putting it off waiting for the pending bypass,” she said.

“We have some really good retail shops in town and we as a community need to ensure we support them. This includes having an attractive retail area.”
