Community gives to foodbank drive

The community gave generously to Katikati Pakeke Lions Foodbank collection project at the weekend.

The collection is held annually close to the start of December. It includes a barbecue sausage sizzle, a donation box and the trailer on site to collect donated food items. Friday and Saturday are the two days planned with both Countdown and Four Square supermarkets.

“Regrettably we did not include Katikati Four Square this year, as we did not have sufficient personnel available to service both sites,” said Pakeke Lions president Ron Boggiss.

If further donations are available they can be dropped off at Ron’s home, 10 Belmont Rise to pass on to Foodbank.
