The best Su­per Sa­loon driv­ers race for the cov­eted an­nual ti­tle of South Pa­cific Cham­pion with $4000 prize money and the mag­nif­i­cent tro­phy, do­nated by leg­endary Bay­park driver Trevor Gray and his wife.

Waihi driver Mark Hutchins’ Su­per Sa­loon, 53m, and other cars help­ing dry out the track af­ter heavy rain at the Bay­park Speed­way. The South Pa­cific Su­per Sa­loon Car Cham­pi­onship is on Jan­uary 5.

The Waihi Beach Fun Run/walk starts at 1pm from the Coast­guard head­quar­ters. Reg­is­tra­tion at mid­day Jan­uary 2.
