Kylie joins Katch Katikati team

-

Katch Katikati is thrilled to welcome Kylie Watkins to their team as the new events manager.

Kylie is new to the area having relocated from Auckland.

“I'm excited to be appointed event manager of Katch Katikati as my passion comes from bringing people together and enjoying the moment created through networking, events and community gatherings,” says Kylie.

Kylie originates from Waihi and attended Waihi College and then moved to Auckland for career prospects. She has experience in working alongside the Auckland Zoo, local councils and most recently the University of Auckland and the Howick Historical Village in event management roles.

Twenty years later her heart was calling her back to a place she calls home.

Kylie says that she is elated to be part of a team that assists bringing the community of Katikati together and to help keep what is an already close-knit community, even closer.

Katch Katikati’s promotions manager Jacqui Knight says events in Katikati have been taken to a new level over the last 18 months with the work from Nicky Austin and the team are sorry to see her move on.

“Although the timing for Kylie to start with the organisation has not been great with the Covid-19 lockdown, she has already got activities underway like the art competitions and the Easter Egg hunt.

“The team are all working from home to ensure when we come out the other side of lockdown, there are events for the community to be involved with.”
