Garden mural show a highlight for art group

Katikati Art Group held their annual exhibition on November20 to 23 and it waspreceded by a preview event onNovember 19, withmore than200invitees. This year’s theme was Garden Mini Murals. Guests and friends expressed their delight at the exhibition and several paintings were purchased that evening.

The competition for best themed painting and best in exhibition was tightly contested.

ValHelmwonthe Mini Mural Category with her work titled Exploring the Forest. Secondwas Everdien de Graaf with her work Chitta Chatta and thirdwasJan Sunderland with her piece The FamilyWay.

Erica MirandowonBest In Exhibition with Orangutan, second was Everdien de Graaf with Spread of Light and thirdwasVal Helmwith Hiding Out.

The raffles this year exceeded expectations of supporting the art group. Winner of theMoneyTree was Gail Frank with Sally Henry taking homethe raffled gourmet basket. Winner of the grocery basketwas Susan McAndrew.
