Katikati Twilight Concerts 2024:

Summer concerts feature country rock on January 27 and Woodstock to the 70s is on February 10 at Haiku Reserve.

Heritage display: Waih¯ı Beach local history at Waih¯ı Beach

Katikati Folk Club’s first concert of the year is BBC Folk Awards best musician nominee Dan Walsh. His work has been described as British, Irish and American folk music with funky grooves — and all performed on the clawhammer style banjo. Dan entertains on January 12 at Katikati Folk Club (The Arts Junction). South for Winter and The Mollymawks play January 19.

Community Centre on January11-12 from 10am-4pm.

Katikati Avocado Food and Wine Festival:

Food, wine and live music. Headlining act The Black Seeds. Uretara Domain on January 13, from 12-6pm.

The Great Waih¯ı Beach Scavenger Hunt: Waih¯ı Beach in front of surf club on January 27-28 from 8am. Three chances to win cash.

Wander Dogs Walks Series:

February 3 at Te Puna Quarry Park for a guided walk. 9.30am for question and answer, 10am for walk.

Katikati A&P Show: Town meets country, with many displays and entertainment, 60 trade stalls. Its 99th show at Uretara Domain on

February 4.

Abbeyfield Garden Party Fundraiser: In a garden setting on Hot Springs Rd, Katikati. Cakes, canapes, tea/coffee, drinks, and entertainment plus market stalls and raffles. February 17 from 2-5pm, tickets The Arts Junction. Talisman In-house Avo Competition: The Talisman Hotel is holding an avocado dish competition this month with five chefs showcasing two entrees and three deserts. Guests have the opportunity to vote for their favourite dish and win a $100 Talisman voucher.
