Jacob Scott from Auckland shows off his talent as a jazz singer and one-man-band at last year’s Jazz Street Party in Katikati. The event returns on March 23. celebrating 50 years: Celebrating with a free family event with games and activities, barbecue and lolly scramble. February 24 from 1-3pm at Moore Park. The adult event will be from 7pm at The Club — an open invitation to all past and present players, refs, coaches, members and parents. Frocks on Bikes: Meet at the Talisman Hotel carpark on February 24 at 10am. Free registration. Spot prizes.
Grow On Katikati Edible Backyard Safari:
Involves a journey of destinations and miniworkshops included. Grow On Shed, next to Katikati Community Centre, February 25 from 9am-1pm. Wander Dogs Walks Series:
March 2 at Anzac Bay in Waihi Beach. 9.30am for question and answer, 10am for walk.
Doggy Day Out: O¯ mokoroa Sportsground for a costume party on March 16 from 10am-2pm. The day includes dog education, stalls, music and competitions.
Jazz Street Party in Katikati: Part of the 61st National Jazz Festival. Musicians entertaining crowds as well as food, market stalls and kids entertainment. March 23 from 11am-2pm.
