Swan plants from seed

-

1 You can sow seeds straight into warm sunny patch of garden soil OR into a seed tray or punnet filled with Black Magic Seed Raising Mix.

2 Sprinkle seeds thinly and cover with 3-5mm of seed raising mix. Water gently with a mist spray bottle.

3 The first leaves will appear after two to three weeks. When your seedlings are 5 to 10 cm tall, plant them in a sunny place in the garden or big pots.

tip:

Cover your baby plants with netting to stop the butterflies from laying their eggs too soon. Or remove some of the eggs. If you get too many hungry caterpillars they can gobble up all the leaves before the plants get a chance to grow!
