Growing flowers from seed

-

1 Fill a seed tray or punnet with seed raising mix.

2 For big seeds: use a pencil to make a hole in the mix that is twice the depth of the seed, cover it over and press down gently. For tiny seeds: Take a pinch of seeds between two fingers and sprinkle over the mix. Cover with fine layer of mix. Do not cover very fine seeds. Be sure to check your seed packet for important information. 3 Water with a fine mist spray. Keep the seed raising mix moist (not wet) while you wait for seeds to germinate. You should see the first leaves in one to two weeks.

4 When your seedlings are 5-10cm high or have a second set of leaves, you can plant them in the garden or into bigger pots.
