CORNMEAL & TINY SEEDS

I have never been happy with the results I get when I plant tiny seeds like carrot, celery and dill, because I am all fingers and thumbs and I cannot get the seeds to spread nicely.

This year I tried mixing cornmeal with the seeds, a technique I read about in my mum’s gardening notebook – and guess what? It works. Especially if the tiny seeds are brown or black as they show up easily in the yellow cornmeal, making it easy to see how spaced I have placed them.
