PICKING FLOWERS

-

The joy of picking your own flowers is immense. When planting flowers, the golden rule is to plant plenty!

Pick in the morning, before the sun gets too hot and once any dew has dried, or later in the afternoon. Plunge cut blooms into fresh water as soon as possible. Remove any leaves that will sit below the water line.

Dried flowers are beautiful too. Ideal blooms to dry are hydrangeas, lavender, stocks, roses, statice and larkspur.
