my CHOCOLATE garden

This year I started using cocoa bean husks from my local garden centre to suppress weeds. I have found the best way to use them is as a layer around 10cm deep. I am guessing it works well because the shells slot into each other and reduce or stop light getting to the soil – and weeds don’t grow without light. That is my theory anyway, and it works for me most of the time. Plus, the smell is so chocalicious!
