throw away guttering recycled
I have discovered that a piece of old, white, plastic rain guttering makes a brilliant pea and bean seed growing container. My seeds grow exceptionally well in good garden mix in some old guttering; when my plants pop through the soil and are big enough to be transplanted into the garden, I simply slide the seedlings out of the guttering and into a prepared channel in the ground. And that means less disturbance when transferring the seedlings, which means a better start for my peas and beans.
