Raspberry gold

-

Sometimes called gold raspberries, the creamy varieties arose as natural mutations of the common Rubus idaeus. The United States has half a dozen gold varieties available, but here only ‘Ivory’ is commonly offered. That doesn’t matter though as it’s an absolute gem, a vigorous plant that fruits in december and again in February or March. It’s our pick of the raspberries. runner-up to ‘Ivory’ is ‘Autumn Bliss’, another double cropper, with its second fruiting heavier than the first.
