The Ashburton Lions Club hosted the bi-annual battle of the Big Smoke vs Rural Folk team challenge and auction. Approximately $23,000 was raised with funds going directly

to Ashburton Rowing, Mid Canterbury Basketball and the Ashburton Lions Club. Bragging rights this year went to the Rural

Folk team.
