Ash­bur­ton Mu­seum

Hear Rod Smith dis­cuss Ash­bur­ton’s con­nec­tions to the Guin­ness fam­ily, as cov­ered in his book Guin­ness Down Un­der. A key as­pect of the story is the cu­ri­ous in­ci­dent in July 1879 when the Ash­bur­ton Wiz­ard bor­rowed a top hat from Ash­bur­ton mag­is­trate Frank Guin­ness and cut it to shreds.
