Aim to exercise a realistic amount. I recommend four times per week as a great balance between getting desired results and juggling all your other priorities.

Do exercise sessions and workouts that are efficient yet effective. For example 20-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts, short runs or walks at a fast pace or intervals, and short high-intensity resistance workouts.

Work out at home or at the office. In the time it takes to get to the gym you could have already smashed out a workout!

Schedule in your workouts to your diary with the exact day and time – this will help with your organisational skills and keep your day running well. There will be no time wasted deciding whether you should exercise or not, nor when you should do it.

Exercise during the part of your day where you are the least productive. This is a great use of time, and you will find yourself more energised after your workout.

Exercise with your children or with friends or colleagues. Two birds, one stone.

Set yourself a goal. If you have a meaningful goal that you can only achieve by exercising regularly and consistently, then you are more likely to make time in your day for it.
