This book is part biography/memoir and starts at the beginning of 2020 at Paul Henry’s Palm Springs home which is part of a nudist community. There are some wonderful stories about his neighbours and friends, travels with his daughters and sailing adventures on his boat, Olive, named after his beloved mother. But in the background the world is changing and COVID-19 finds him back in New Zealand.

I love that he is so opinionated about everything and really doesn’t give a hoot what people think of him.

I loved the Palm Springs stories – I think they deserve a reality show of their own. And then there’s the American election – of course he has plenty to say on that subject.

I laughed and marvelled throughout the book. Whether you love or loathe him, his stories will keep you smiling for days.
