The Road Trip

Beth O’Leary Berkley

-

Beth O’Leary’s first two books – The Switch and The Flatshare – were hugely popular, and this is set to be the same.

Dylan and his friend Marcus have set off on a journey to Scotland to attend a friend’s wedding. Dylan is convinced the woman driving the mini in front of him is his ex, Addie, who he hasn’t seen for two years. His distraction causes him to drive into the back of her car.

It turns out he was right – it is Addie, who is accompanied by her sister Debs and a stranger called Rodney. With Dylan’s car out of action, they squash into the Mini Cooper and continue on their way. What could possibly go wrong?

The story is told from two points of view: Addie’s and Dylan’s, in flashbacks and present time.

It starts at a cracking pace and is filled with laughs. A heart-warming, feel-good story told by an excellent storyteller.
