Gin Lovers Rejoice!

-

Discover the gin that got me through lockdown – Twelfth Hour Distillery. A punchy gin perfect for summer, but made to enjoy all year round. ‘Being non-chill filtered it has a real smoothness about it,’ explains Director Andrew Shannon. ‘This means the botanical oils have all been retained to ensure you get maximum flavour with each sip.’

Having grown up in Staveley, Andrew joined forces with friends and foodies Pawat Lamwilai and Angela Tsang three years ago to bring their gin dreams alive. ‘When they approached me all I could think was “I’m in”. From there we had a lot of late-night strategy sessions, thus the name Twelfth Hour. We decided Kaffir Lime was our absolute hero that stood out. No one was heroing it when we started planning. The bonus is that we get the kaffir lime leaves from two huge trees in Pawat’s mum’s backyard. So it’s a bit of a family/friends affair.’

A gin made by a group of friends for us to share with ours – cheers!
