Decorating Success

-

In 2019 Timaru-based primary teacher Rochelle Kennedy launched her artistic cookie business Llama Cookie Drama as a hobby. ‘I just started having a go and got addicted,’ she laughs. ‘I made cookies for my sister as wedding favours at her wedding and people started asking if they could buy them. It has just grown from there.’

And grown it has, with the business going from strength to strength, with her designer cookies being purchased for wedding favours and gifts. Almost too good to eat, she has also gained international success when in May of this year she was awarded a second place and Silver Award in the prestigious Australian Cake Artists & Decorators Association (ACADA) International Cake Show.

‘It’s a huge event where sugar superstars come from all over the world to do demonstrations and display, so it is pretty awesome for a Kiwi to win an award over there!’

We couldn’t agree more. What an achievement.
