This is the ultimate in comfort reading – for those lucky enough to be heading beachside anytime soon this would make the perfect companion.

Following the sudden death of her husband, Diana McIntyre is juggling four growing boys with her dream to open a flower farm. When the opportunity arises to host a famous flower grower’s book launch she finds herself scrambling to get ready in time, until locum pharmacist and single dad Ned Gardiner arrives on the scene.

Paperbark Hill is a distinctly Australian rural romance tale that is charming in its simplicity. This is an easy and heart-warming read.

I wasn’t aware until I had finished that this was the last in a series about the four McIntyre Sisters; and despite not being in my top 10 books of the year it was enjoyable enough that I will read the others in the series.
