As a fan of crime writing, I was thrilled to get my hands on this treasure trove of short stories by a collection of New Zealand and Australian authors. Editor Craig Sisterson is not wrong when he describes the anthology as ‘a stunning smorgasbord of stories, styles and settings’. Featuring 19 brilliant Kiwi and Aussie crime writers, I loved being able to dip into a twisted tale or two instead of tackling a hefty novel.

From a cagey hitchhiker in the Crown Range to an actor’s tragic end in an Aussie theatre, these gripping stories bursting with Australasian flavour tickled the literary tastebuds and left me wanting to read ‘just one more’…
