Big Bula Water Park

-

The Big Bula Water Park, located on Denerau Island, is currently the largest permanent inflatable water park in the world. With multiple waterslides, a mechanical surfboard and a 10 metre Climbing tree there are activities for all ages. For children under 105cm there is a small, enclosed “Children’s Park” containing a bouncy jungle with slides, a paddling pool, a pirate ship slide and a Nemo slide.

The main park also has an inflatable pool that can be used for cooling off, laying around on floating devices or you can participate in a game of water basketball and try and beat the staff.

For the energetic participants, you can get your heart racing by attempting the obstacle course and compete against your friends. On the Big Wave slide there are two tracks so racing your partner, sibling or parent is always fun. Not for the faint hearted, the Treasure Slide can also put your heart in your mouth, as it is the shortest but steepest slide…at a 50% angle.

For a slight twist you can try out the Corkscrew Slide, or if you are brave enough you can slide through the teeth of the Blue Shark. For a more relaxing slide try out the Green Parrot and slide between the palm trees and parrots.

Sibling rivalry and any pent up frustrations can sometimes be resolved in the Fighting Game arena. Trying to knock your opponent off the platform and into the water can bring out the fighting spirit within you.

For a real thrill, and what customers usually quote as the “favourite” ride of all, is the Big Green Shark affectionately known as the “Big Bula”. As the tallest slide, at over 14.5 metres, it is not for the weak hearted. Trying to reach the pool at the end is also a great challenge that defeats many.

If relaxing is more your style while the children play, you can hang out at the Ice Cream Bure or at one of the many shaded tables though out the park. W:
