Let's Travel

So…here we are. September 2021! What does the rest of the year have in store for us? No idea…but I’m ready to go when we’re allowed. Vaccinated up - missing my travels and definitely missing industry colleagues from around the globe.

I have to say though that some of them are going through more hell than we are here but like many other countries are doing, we’re going to have to live with this Covid-19 beast whether we like it or not. B-strain, D-strain or, god forbid, F and G-strains!

I feel sorry for my friends and colleagues in Australia who had this virus nailed down - only to be let down by their government with this Delta strain and a number of meatheads who didn’t follow the rules. Let’s hope we pull together.

We have an inspirational article on The Cooks in this issue, and with an increasingly good take up of the vaccine in Samoa and Vanuatu, hopefully they too will open up to sooner than later - along with Niue and Tonga of course. Unfortunately I can’t see us saying “Bula” in the near future.

We have dedicated a great number of pages in this issue to two NZ destinations - Taupō and Wairarapa, along with some stunning adventures to be had with Active Adventures.

Along with some inspiring content on Australia - Queensland’s island resorts, the Victorian rural town of Bendigo and our second part to the Great Walks of Australia, I’m sure there is plenty in this issue and our previous issues, to help you decide where you’ll head to next.
