Dog walking

Heading out for a walk around the neighbourhood with your dog? Western Bay of Plenty District Council asks you to please keep them on a leash. This minimises the risk of attacks or accidents and helps you (and your dog) to maintain social distancing rules.

Although it might be tempting, don’t go inviting friends on your walks. Try to go places where there’s less likely to be other people and dogs.

And as always - make sure you pick up your pooch’s poop!
