WESTERN BAY OF PLENTY DISTRICT COUNCIL – KAIMAI WARD COUNCILLOR

- Tracey Coxhead

MSuaree Borell – y principal place of residence is in the Kaimai Ward area. I am also standing for Mayor.

Kia ora, Talofa lava, Warmest greetings to you and yours. I am seeking to serve and play a role in the Kaimai ward. My whānau have lived and raised families in Whakamārama for over 130 years. I am ready and willing to foster good decision making systems that benefit everyone. I am a home owner, business consultant and avid supporter of all things family. Bring the best of 2022 into the future, vote for this Whakamārama original. Supporting through service and connection to community - 130 years and still going.

My principal place of residence is in the Kaimai Ward area. I am seeking election for Council. I have lived in the Western Bay District for 14 years with my family. My professional career over the past 40 years has been within financial services, as a regional manager in banking, a qualified financial advisor, and as a business owner. I am particularly passionate about improving the financial literacy of New Zealanders and continue to advocate in this area.

I am a proud grandmother and want to contribute positively to building a better region for the next generation and those to follow.

I support an ethical, fact-based approach to decision making, where stakeholders are accountable for both decisions and actions. I believe in community-led democracy, where people are truly heard, and I am fearless when it comes to defending what is right. I would represent constituents by bringing energy, compassion, and determination to drive positive outcomes.

MMargaret Murray-Benge y principal place of residence is not in the Kaimai Ward area. I moved to the Kaimai Ward of the Western Bay more than 20 years ago and, though I now live in Bethlehem, I have represented Kaimai since 2007. As your local councillor, I front the challenging issues.

I have publicly opposed the Three Waters legislation through which Government is trying to steal our assets with totally inadequate compensation. I oppose our continuing membership of Local Government New Zealand as they are failing to work in the interests of our community. I believe strongly in democracy - one person one vote.

Council is responsible for water infrastructure, parks, local roading, district plans, resource consents, and libraries. I am committed to using the income we raise from rates for these core services, without getting distracted onto matters which are the responsibility of central government, such as social housing. I am committed to work for you, no matter your gender or ethnicity.
