WESTERN BAY OF PLENTY DISTRICT COUNCIL – KATIKATI-WAIHĪ BEACH WARD
MAnne Henry – Independent y principal place of residence is in the Katikati-Waihī Beach Ward area.
I’m 4th generation from the Boyd & Henry families. Returning home 8 years ago to support my elderly parents during their last years, I worked at Waihī Beach Primary and now reside on the family farm. My passion is for the communities in which I live and those I represent to achieve their aspirations. In reflecting the community’s views on the future development of this area, I’ll urge Council to foster economic opportunities and promote dealing sensitively with climate change for our environment now and for future generations. For the past 3 years I have served as Councillor for this Ward and on Waihī Beach Community Board. As your Councillor, I will continue to push for value added projects to be accomplished, community and recreational facilities like netball courts, mountainbike and horse trails, for long overdue maintenance, and working on local issues with both Community Boards to get things done.
My principal place of residence is in the Katikati-Waihī Beach Ward area. I am also standing for Katikati Community Board.
My name is Donna Hannah - I am open-minded, an optimist, a reformed perfectionist, and self-motivated with leadership tendencies. Add to that a lifelong learner who has accumulated bachelor degrees, diplomas, and certificates but still enjoys learning.
My principal place of residence is in the Katikati Ward. I'll be seeking election for the Katikati Community Board and the Katikati-Waihī Beach Ward. My husband and I have five adult children who attended the local schools, and got their first jobs in local businesses. Our grandchildren will follow in their footsteps.
My top three priorities are youth, elderly and local business, because if all three are empowered our community will thrive. Change happens when perseverance and resilience overcome the obstacles of life.
What and who make the changes, he tangata, he tangata, he tangata! It is the people, it is the people, it is the people. We do! We make change together!
My principal place of residence is in the Katikati-Waihī Beach Ward area. I am also standing for Mayor.
I am a current Councillor, Chair of two council committees and a qualified hearings commissioner. I will bring experienced leadership, a younger perspective and a positive approach.
I have been active in the community for many years in a wide variety of leadership roles: member and Past President of Katikati Rotary, former member and Vice President of Katikati Open-Air Art, trustee and Chair of Aongatete Forest Project, Chair of the Whirihia panel for community-led development, and a board member of Bay Conservation Alliance. I have two children at Katikati College.
My background is in science and then corporate finance in London. I was also part of the successful bid team for the London Olympics where I formulated the $2.5bn operating budget.
I want to see good infrastructure, effective planning for our future and sound financial management to deliver the best for our community.

Katikati resident John Clements seeking election to the WBoP council, he is currently a member of the Katikati Community Board.
