HORIZONS REGIONAL COUNCIL ELECTION CANDIDATES

The Horizons Regional Council by-election is being held following the death of Cr Pat Kelly. Delivery of voting papers will start on August 30 and election day is Friday September 21 with voting closing at noon. The Manawatu¯ Guardian asked two questions of the five candidates (The Guardian was unable to contact Ross Barber) standing in the by-election. What do you think is the most pressing issue for the HRC; the HRC region is huge and each region has its particular needs; how do you think you will address them, or will you just focus on the Manawatu¯ ?
