Garden tour a success

Manawatu Guardian - - NEWS - ELIZABETH SHEARER

The inaugural CBC Garden Tour held at beginning of this month was a great success, with over 500 people visiting up to 17 properties throughout the city. Visitors came from all around the region and the North Island.

There were even two UK holidaymakers. On the day, nearly 150 volunteers and property hosts were involved.

Despite the slightly damp weather conditions during part of the day, the undeterred visitors treated the day as an adventure and were wowed by stunning gardens, home interiors or fascinating hobby interests.

Thank you to those people who took the time to communicate their thanks for the opportunity to visit the venues. On behalf of Palmerston North Central Baptist Church, we would like to thank the venue hosts for their involvement and hospitality, the people who purchased tickets, the ticket sales outlets of Oderings and Smart Exchange, the sales vendors and display artists.

This community fundraising event provided many other positive spin-offs and we sincerely thank the Manawatu¯ Guardian for your interest.
