Music from round the globe at the Globe

-

Summer time is about relaxing, enjoying the sunshine — and listening to some great music at the Globe Summer Sounds Festival.

From mid-January through to early March there is a wide array of the best national and international music to experience right here in Palmerston North.

Tickets to any three or more shows are just $18 each — a saving of up to 40 per cent on individual show prices.

Kicking off on January 18, is The Frank Burkitt Band (Scotland/ Wellington NZ), finalists for the first Tui award of 2019, for best NZ Folk Artist and on January 19 the NZ Youth Jazz Orchestra is touring with special guest Adam Shroeder from the United States.

Miho’s Jazz Orchestra (NZ) — January 26 — evokes a mischievous mix of flavours with their music, storytelling and stage presence.

The great lineup continues through February and March from New Zealand (Paper Cranes — indie/folk), Denmark (Virelai — Viking/folk), Sweden (Sofia Talavik — Americana folk), Scotland (Smith & McClennan — Americana folk, pictured), Italy (Spina & Benignetti — Piano Duet recital) and Australia (Isaiah B Brunt Trio — Deep South Rhythm & Blues).
