■ Head along to The Globe Theatre to see Andy Irvine at 7.30pm, January 29. His voice is only one of few of truly greats that gets to the very soul of Ireland. He has been hailed as “a tradition in himself”. Get your tickets from The Globe Theatre.

■ Come and celebrat the New Year of the Rat with an exciting Happy Chinese New Year concert at The Regent on Broadway at 6.30pm, January 29. Operatunit­y is back for the new year. Join in at Life Church on Feathersto­n St, 11am, January 29. Famous items in this concert include; Imagine, Born Free, I Will Survive, We'll Gather Lilacs, You're the Top, Memory, Keep the Home Fires Burning and Downtown, plus the artists display even more talent with a Louis Armstrong impersonat­ion, tap dancing, and so much more.
