Jim's Mowing is keen to expand its representa­tion in the Manawatu. Regional franchiser Gavin McGlashan believes the region can handle at least another two operators. He says despite there already being operators under the Jim's Mowing banner in the region, there is definitely scope for more.

“You buy the franchise, we train you and you start working,” says Gavin.

“You then receive ongoing support to achieve and maintain the level of business you want. The potential is to exceed $100,000 turnover annually and that can be achieved in the Manawatu,'' he said.

Manawatū franchise owner Garth Ratima says he loves his Jim's Mowing business because he gets to be his own boss while enjoying a variety of work in the outdoors.

“I am inundated with work. There are more clients than I can manage,” says Garth.

“The unserviced jobs are mounting so there are more than enough clients to take on. We need some help.”
