FRIDAY 6 OCTOBER Erna Ferry: local legend

Erna Ferry’s career started in Palmerston North in the ‘80s when she was cast in an amateur musical. More than forty years on, our local star has earned a national and internatio­nal reputation as a leading jazz vocalist. Erna will talk about her career and her many achievemen­ts, followed by a performanc­e and audience questions.

Guy Donaldson has been a leading force in Manawatu music for nearly 50 years, sharing his passion for music, fostering local talent and mentoring local musicians into careers as performers. Guy provides a glimpse at his career and the people and places that led to his achievemen­ts and accolades.

SATURDAY 7 OCTOBER The Brazen Hussies: music with a message

Presentati­on and performanc­e by Palmerston North powerhouse, The Brazen Hussies. The group formed in the ‘90s to confront social issues. From their first performanc­e, the group has never shied away from topical issues ranging from climate change to Don Brash speeches, to women's health.

SATURDAY 7 OCTOBER Dave Iwikau and Amy Hunt: dynamic duo

Dave Iwikau & Amy Hunt have both been in the profession­al music industry for over 20 years. Dave is a master-of-music, recording and musical projects, including film and audio production, while Amy is a local musician and singing coach whose talents have been showcased in Christmas & New Year concerts and corporate events throughout New Zealand. Join the duo as they tell their story and perform.
