Erna Ferry’s career started in Palmerston North in the ‘80s when she was cast in an amateur musical. More than forty years on, our local star has earned a national and international reputation as a leading jazz vocalist. Erna will talk about her career and her many achievements, followed by a performance and audience questions.

Guy Donaldson has been a leading force in Manawatu music for nearly 50 years, sharing his passion for music, fostering local talent and mentoring local musicians into careers as performers. Guy provides a glimpse at his career and the people and places that led to his achievements and accolades.

SATURDAY 7 OCTOBER The Brazen Hussies: music with a message
Presentation and performance by Palmerston North powerhouse, The Brazen Hussies. The group formed in the ‘90s to confront social issues. From their first performance, the group has never shied away from topical issues ranging from climate change to Don Brash speeches, to women's health.

SATURDAY 7 OCTOBER Dave Iwikau and Amy Hunt: dynamic duo
Dave Iwikau & Amy Hunt have both been in the professional music industry for over 20 years. Dave is a master-of-music, recording and musical projects, including film and audio production, while Amy is a local musician and singing coach whose talents have been showcased in Christmas & New Year concerts and corporate events throughout New Zealand. Join the duo as they tell their story and perform.
