Totally Vets buys Taumarunui clinic
Totally Vets, the Palmerston North and Feilding business, has bought Taumarunui Vet Clinic.
Totally Vets chief executive Chris Carter said the move was initiated by the owner of the Taumarunui Vet Clinic ( TVC), Carin De Groot.
‘‘ Over the last three years, Totally Vets and TVC had been working col- laboratively to bring additional farm advisory and bull assessment programmes into the region.’’
He said the Taumarunui clinic had a total of nine staff including vets, business support people, technicians and nurses. That team would remain.
Carter said De Groot wanted to concentrate on her vet work rather than ownership. ‘‘ It’s a real mixed practice. It does dairy, sheep and beef, equine [ shepherds’ horses] and farm dogs. There are also pets around the town areas.’’
He welcomed what he said were 100 new customers in Taumarunui and the central North Island to Totally Vets.
