Jan 1, 2.13am, Hokio Beach Rd, Levin. Darin Robert Hunt, 29, from Levin, was killed when he was hit by a taxi as he walked home along the road in the dark. March 18, 6.15pm, Halcombe Rd, Halcombe. Graham Rex Kennard, 60, had a heart attack behind the wheel, crashing head- on into another vehicle. He died of his injuries. April 29, 8.55am, Bainesse Rd, Bainesse. Courtney Odessa Hagley, 16, died when her vehicle crashed into a tree as she drove her boyfriend to work. May 4, 10.50pm, SH1, Manakau, Levin. Dennis John Moore, 55, of Palmerston North and Patrick David Murray- Sweet, 26, of Levin, were involved in a two- car crash where one vehicle crossed the centre line. July 14, 4.34pm, SH3, Awahuri, Manawatu Whanganui man Gary Peacock, 57, and his dog were killed when his car collided with a truck and trailer unit. July 18, 10.30pm, SH1, Powera, Marton Sara Angela Taylor, 24, was killed when her car left the road and rolled into a culvert. July 6.50pm, intersection of Camerons Line and Waughs Rd, Feilding Hikurangi Taumaunu, 22, was killed when his car collided with a truck near the corner of Camerons Line and Waughs Rd. November 29, 2.15pm, SH1, Ohau, Levin Graham William Perry, 76, died from injuries following a three- car crash, where one vehicle involved crossed the centre line. December 18, 9.15pm, Turakina Valley Rd, Hunterville Keryn Swainson, from Hunterville, died after the car she was driving crashed through a bridge guardrail in Turakina Valley Rd and plunged into the Turakina River. December 31, time unknown, SH1, Bulls Auckland motorcyclist Gregory John Spargo, 50, died after leaving the road north of Bulls.
