Revealed All Blacks lineup

Warriors CEO Cameron George says the Dally M awards was a night all fans of the club can celebrate, while hinting news of contracts for Issac Luke and Jazz Tevaga is imminent.

George was at the celebrations in Sydney on Wednesday night, where Roger Tuivasa-sheck picked up the NRL’S highest honour.

Luke and Tevaga are both off contract, and no doubt there may have been some talk around the Warriors table about their futures.

George revealed Tevaga is about to sign a new contract, which is believed to be for two years, while an announcement is likely to be made about Luke by the weekend.

‘‘We’ll have some news over the next couple of days on both players,’’ George said.

Luke was interviewed at the awards and said he wanted to remain with the Warriors.

It may be his only choice after Knights recruitment boss Troy Pezet told the Newcastle Herald that negotiations to sign the Kiwis veteran were ‘‘dead’’.

The Knights had reportedly tabled Luke a oneyear contract with an option for a second after coach Nathan Brown met with him and his management in New Zealand two weeks ago.

However, the deal was pulled due to concerns that Luke’s upcoming shoulder surgery could keep him out of action until March.

‘‘We want to stay in New Zealand as a family, my wife and the kids,’’ Luke said.
