Girls take home DIY skills
Emily Blanchett lives in a great party house but Chloe Hes’ home is more about quiet and family, writes Caroline Botting.
Undoubtedly down and dogtired from their rocky time on The Block NZ, Palmerston North’s Chloe Hes and Em Blanchett will be enjoying being with friends and family at home.
Hes lives with her partner and two dogs, Django and Stella, while Blanchett returns to Isaac ‘‘my good friend of 10 years’’.
Taking home a measly $5750 each for 12 weeks of work isn’t going to finance the painting and landscaping Blanchett would liked to have completed on her home or allow Hes to buy one.
However, the pair acquired some great DIY and decorating skills following their reality TV experience, and will no doubt put them to good use in their homes.
The pair also managed to keep their friendship intact during the show, but as Hes revealed she won’t miss Blanchett’s ‘‘10-year-old hairbrush and smelly makeup sponge’’.
