Paintball drive-by
A man has been arrested after shooting paintballs at two teenagers during a drive-by in Dunedin. Police were called after reports of a man firing paintballs from a moving car on Friday afternoon. Two 14-year-old boys were hit with the paintballs. One was left with welts on his back, Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen said. A 19-year-old man was charged with using a firearm to cause injury, Dinnissen said. ‘‘What was going through his brain at the time, if anything actually was,’’ Dinnissen said. Police were also investigating whether the man also shot at several public buses.
