■ Was it really necessary to print such a demeaning and insulting cartoon in Saturday’s paper? President Trump is still the democratically elected president of the largest democracy in the world. The constant barrage of insults I find are unwarranted and highly offensive. Please give it a rest. MA

■ Transport officials need to repaint double yellow lines, faded badly, on Saddle Rd, especially on the Ashhurst side with holiday traffic

wanting to be rally drivers.

■ Just watched TVNZ weather forecast in its new format. Sadly, Palmerston North flashed past so fast I didn’t have time to see it. Please, TVNZ, we don’t all live in the ‘‘main cities’’. But we still pay taxes for television coverage. Give us our fair share of time. Was bad, now awful.
