■ Another busy night for Fire & Police in the notorious Ada St in Palmerston North. Out of control students set multiple fires in the middle of the street, including sofas, beds and rubbish. It is about time such services came down hard on these students and gave them a clear message on behalf of the city.

■ Isn’t it about time the airport management tidied up the taxis at the airport? Stop the drivers grouping together blocking the pathways and talking loudly at each other.

■ Easy to sit in an ivory tower and determine that 7 levels are better than 4, but unrealisti­c. Let’s make the present system work with the goodwill that we have [rather] than risk arousing ire among people who don’t normally accept orders.

■ Hi Matt [text Feb 23], I’mdoing all those things, own two classic cars, dine out often, it’s called amoneygo-round, keeps NZ alive and thriving. Leaky
